It’s crazy how much willpower one needs to navigate the food world. Every corner has a sweet temptation. People say “everything in moderation” but I think that is a lie. Yes, some foods in moderation are fine but not EVERYTHING! You wouldn’t give a child a bit of paint would you? So don’t give them sugar. It is addictive and unnecessary in its processed form. I eat it. I indulge occasionally but I am an adult with a fully developed brain and body that can reason and exercise willpower. Children cannot and if you create a habit at such a young age it will be extremely difficult for you to reprogram and that’s how we struggle as adults.

Isn’t it hard for you to always make healthy choices? I definitely struggle…but I refuse to let companies make money off of inherent human impulses. I am stubborn that way. Say “NO” to that bag of cookies; that conglomerate wont care you gained so much weight you need to buy a larger pair of jeans. Keep healthy snacks close and feel empowered by your own healthy choices. I dare you. Do you dare yourself?
